Financial Uphill Battle

I know this is a topic that is on everyone’s minds these days. Money! After a successful career in Marketing, I am now a Real Estate agent and entrepreneur. During the years while I was working full time and making money, I used to think about what I could do to work from home while creating a stable income source. I got my wish when a consulting job ended and I had to figure out the next gig. Luckily my husband still had a job at the time (as a Creative Director). I tried a multitude of direct sales companies including Tupperware and this company called Market America selling vitamins; and a few others that I probably don’t even remember at this point. I had so many hopes and dreams that I could make all this money working 8-10 hours a week. Instead 5 years went by and I was looking at a mound of debt from trying to build a business that I’m still whittling down. 3 years ago, I got my Real Estate License and have made money, but nothing close to my what I made during my corporate days. Now, that’s just me. My husband was laid off 2 years ago and we’ve been scrambling to make ends meet. He is now on the cusp of launching an internet business that he’s been working on for the last year and a half and I’m plugging away at Real Estate as well as setting up my new blog.

I’m grateful that we do have a roof over our heads, food to eat and clothing to wear. Our kids are doing great and have their needs taken care of. The one thing I will never regret is that I was able to stay at home and take care of my kids, something that was very important to me. My faith is strong and I know that God will make a way. I am looking forward to seeing the light at the end of a very dark financial tunnel.

I know I am not the only one out there with financial woes. I still have hopes and dreams. I’m looking forward to one day having my dream home and just having enough money so that it is not an issue in my life anymore. I know that day will come for me, do you think it will for you?
